  1. As an MSP in the Twin Cities, Minnesota market, we view cyber security as both a threat and an opportunity. In fact, we began to explore its implications from the perspective of the liability it represented in terms of clients suing us, potentially into bankruptcy, for failing to protect them from a data breach that drove them out of business. Of course, there are standard barriers to be put in place for protection (company incorporation, agreement liability clauses, E&O insurance policies). But increasingly the argument is being made that in years ahead the strongest barrier will be to insist that clients adopt a multi faceted, comprehensive set of cyber security programs/protocols…ergo, we need a cyber security effort that simultaneously not only protects customers, but our own company viability.
